L'BELLE NOIRE
1993 Grey Dutch Warmblood Mare

L'Belle Noire , or "Belle", is a well-bred mare suitable as a schoolmaster or broodmare. Her sire, Argus, was successful at Grand Prix in both dressage and jumping, and is highly sought after as a broodmare sire. Belle's dam, the Thoroughbred Corny Miss, was one of the top ten mares at her keuring.
Belle has been used in the riding program for the past two years and is serviceably sound.  She is a favorite of the dressage riders. She has a big walk, wonderful, floating trot, balanced canter and solid lead changes. In addition to her dressage foundation, she has also had training in eventing. She loves jumping and is forward to the fences.

On the ground, Belle has wonderful manners and is a real sweetheart. She is an excellent breeding prospect, but unfortunately we do not have Belle's original papers.

HOKIE HARVEST SALE UPDATE: In early September, Belle sustained a minor injury to the lateral aspect of the upper suspensory on her LF leg.  She has been rehabilitating nicely but only started back into light work under saddle on 10/27/08.
