SIRE: BALADIN D'OC is Virginia Tech's current breeding stallion. This highly successful FEI dressage stallion was born in France and travelled to Germany as a two-year-old where he was performance tested at Adelheidsdorf. As a five-year-old Baladin d'Oc was imported to the United States and went on to compete with professional and adult amateur riders in FEI dressage competition. With very limited number of offspring, Baladin d'Oc has produced several Premium foals and USDF Champions.
DAM: KEBALIA is an exceptional Dutch Warmblood mare by the successful open jumper Ekstein. Her dam's sire Saluut is a graded, 100-day performance tested Holsteiner stallion and international Grand Prix show jumper. Kebalia was imported from Holland and carries a keur predicate, based on her mare inspection and subsequent career as a jumper before retiring to the broodmare band. She produced several outstanding foals prior to coming to Virginia Tech, including the keur sport mare Obalia NL, dam of ster mare Utah NL and Z-level jumper Tennessee NL.
Bellagio VT was a Premium foal and was sold in the 2005 Hokie Harvest Sale. He currently resides in Florida with his owner, a former student in the Department of Animal and Poultry Sciences.
