SIRE: BALADIN D'OC is one of Virginia Tech's current breeding stallions. This highly successful FEI dressage stallion was born in France and travelled to Germany as a two-year-old where he was performance tested at Adelheidsdorf. As a five-year-old Baladin d'Oc was imported to the United States and competed with an adult amateur rider in FEI dressage competition. With very limited number of offspring, Baladin d'Oc has produced several Premium foals.

DAM: GIACOMINA is a large, elegant Hanoverian mare from the Grande sireline. She is by Golfball, by Grenadier, who was a leading producer of dressage horses and has a dressage breeding index of 146. Giacomina's dam, the Elite Mare Walkure, competed through Prix St. Georges and was a USDF Regional Champion at Fourth Level Musical Freestyle. Giacomina was approved for breeding in 2000 with ISR/Oldenburg NA with a score of 103, just two points shy of Premium mare status! Brooklyn VT is Giacomina's first foal.

Brooklyn VT is an athletic, stylish filly with a high neckset, compact topline and powerful hip. She has expressive gaits, with a particularly good canter. She is bold and inquisitive, but very friendly, and we expect her to become a valuable broodmare after completing her peformance career! Brooklyn was inspected and branded Oldenburg NA on September 23, 2006 and was sold in the 2006 Hokie Harvest Sale.
