SIRE: RIENZI is an elegant Hanoverian stallion known for producing good-natured, modern, athletic performers. He passed the 1998 Federation 100-Day Performance Test with above average scores in rideability, jumping under saddle, free jumping, walk and canter as well as outstanding grades for character, temperament, ability to work, willingness to work and general jumping aptitude. Rienzi's sire Raphael's breeding index in dressage is 123 and in jumping is 132. Dam SPS Bounty is also the dam of EM Regan, the high-scoring Hanoverian mare of the 1998 AHS/VhW Inspection Tour and 3/4 sister to Rienzi.

DAM: DIMPLE ("BELLE") is a large, well-balanced chestnut mare who was a successful dressage mount and children's jumper. She came to Virginia Tech in 2003 and with her kind disposition, has been a pleasure to have in the broodmare band. She is by the advanced dressage stallion Diwan, sire of the approved stallion Derringer. Dimple is from the immediate female family of another of Virginia Tech's mares, Pennsylvania, Champion mare at her AHS inspection. Dimple is also a 3/4 brother to Derrik, Reserve Champion in the Preliminary YR/JR division in the 2006 Amercian Eventing Championships. In 2007 Dimple was inspected by ISR/Oldenburg NA and entered into the Main Mare Book. Her 2007 filly, Bella Sera VT, by Baladin d'Oc, was named Premium and Reserve Champion Filly at her inspection site, with a score of 8.4.

RIVIERA VT is an attractive chestnut filly with a great personality. She was shown in-hand by our students at Dressage at Lexington as a yearling. She is friendly, easy-going and virtually unflappable, and should be an excellent hunter or dressage prospect suitable for the youth or amateur rider.
