DIMPLE, also known as "BELLE", is a registered Hanoverian mare who was successful in the show ring as a dressage mount and children's jumper prior to her donation to Virginia Tech. Belle's sire Diwan was an advanced dressage horse imported from Germany, and is the sire of the approved stallion Derringer. Diwan is by Damnatz, 1978 Champion of the Hanoverian two-year-old stallion Kuering. Damnatz' sire, Darling, won the honor - DLG Champion Stallion in 1976. This line is reputed for outstanding temperament, conformation and gaits, having produced an unusual number of DLG Champions. Belle is a 3/4 sister to Derrik, winner of multiple events and Reserve Champion in the Preliminary YR/JR division of the American Eventing Championships in 2006. Derrik also shows in dressage at Third Level and in hunter and jumper divisions as well! She is alsofrom the same damline as our broodmare Pennsylvania, Champion Hanoverian mare at her inspection site. Belle is a well-balanced, attractive mare with a very friendly disposition. She was approved with ISR/Oldenburg NA in 2007 and is a well-valued part of our broodmare band.
