HEARSAY is a daughter of the internationally prominent stallion Roemer, a leading producer of dressage horses in Holland and on the stallion roster at Iron Spring Farm in Pennsylvania prior to his death in 1996. Roemer, a 17 h chestnut, was a Preferent Dutch Warmblood Stallion. He established a reputation as an international Grand Prix Jumper and Grand Prix Dressage competitor. Roemer's sire Pilatus is the sire of two great Westphalian jumping stallions, Polydor and Pilot. Hearsay is a half sister to the keur mare (and keur producer) Ginseng (by Grand Slam), and full sister to ster mare Fife and Drums, who ranked in the Top Ten nationally in her keuring year, was Reserve Champion Mare at the Cedar Trace USDF Breeders Show and has many won Championships in-hand, including twice at Devon.

Hearsay is out of the mare Drums Fancy, a Dutch Warmblood-approved Thoroughbred, based on the conformation and performance of her offspring. Hearsay has produced at least seven foals, with her youngest now headed toward successful careers in the hunters and dressage. She is currently in foal to Baladin d'Oc for 2009.
