NAKISKA is a substantial mare of Hanoverian breeding who was an exceptional dressage horse for many years. She has classic warmblood conformation including an elegant head and neck and powerful, expressive gaits. Nakiska's sire Dealer is by the Celle stallion, Darling. Darling's sire, Duft II, an all-time sire of 43 Elite Hanoverian Auctionhorses. The Duft line is noted in Germany for conformation and spectacular gaits, inclding versatility for all disciplines. Duft II and his sons Dirk and Darling were all DLG Champion Stallions. Nakiska is linebred to the great Hanoverian stallion Grande, who produced over 33 approved sons and 34 States Premium daughters. Grande founded one of the most versatile and outstanding performance line of Hanoverians. In the 1992 Olympics, eight of the 13 Hanoverians to win medals decended from Grande, including Graf George, Top Gun, Gigolo, Gifted, and Graf Grande. Due to an injury, Nakiska was donated to Virginia Tech in 2001.

2003: Nadia VT (black filly by Across The Field xx). Currently a broodmare by Virginia Tech.
2004: Odessa VT (chestnut ISR filly by Oskar II). Premium Foal. Second place, Fillies of 2004 at Dressage at Lexington, with a score of 79.4% from judge Gail Hoff-Carmona! Odessa VT was sold in the 2006 Hokie Harvest Sale.Thank you to Hokan Thorn for donating the service to his fine stallion!
2005: Bulgari VT (bay ISR gelding by Baladin d'Oc). Bulgari VT was sold in the 2006 Hokie Harvest Sale.
2007: Remember VT (grey ISR filly by Royal Appearance).
