VALDIVA
1987 Dark Bay Selle Francais Mare

Valdiva joined the broodmare band in 2006 after many years of production at Newstead Farm in Upperville, Virginia. In her younger years, Valdiva was an international jumper and speed horse with Alison Firestone, representing the United States at Aachen, Helsinki, Rotterdam, etc. Her tremendous career in showjumping, combined with her impeccible French pedigree, make her an incredible addition to our sporthorse breeding program.

Valdiva is by the very useful jumper sire Guillaume Tell who combines the Thoroughbred influences of Le Tyrol with Ultimate and Furioso. In addition to Guillaume Tell, Le Tyrol also sired the Olympic jumper Rocket and Flicka's Girl, producer of European Champion Rochet Rouge. Broodmare sire Iris Landai appears as the broodmare sire for such international jumpers as Flambeau Breceen and Golisco Louviere, winner of the AGA Grand Prix and Champion Young Stallion at Aachen.
