His sire, Riverman, is one of the most popular and prepotent stallions in North America today. Riverman was named Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon in 1995 and has gone on to produce more Premium foals than any other stallion on the continent. His offspring have had successful careers in all areas of sport - dressage, showjumping, eventing, combined driving and in the hunter ring. He has been a leading sire for Holsteiner, Oldenburg, Swedish, Dutch and Westphalian registries. Riverman has sired approved sons both in the United States and Germany and his daughters are highly sought after.
Riverman's sire Redfort excelled as a Grand Prix dressage stallion, although his pedigree is well-know for producing jumpers. Redfort is by Rebel I Z, full brother to Ratina Z, World Cup Champion and Olympic Silver Medalist in Show Jumping and Renomee Z, who jumped in the Atlanta Olympic Games. Rebel I Z was ranked as the top jumper sire in 1995/1996 by the WBFSH and is also the broodmare sire of Hanoverian State Stallion El Bundy, who won his performance test with an incredible score of 145.01.
Royal Appearance's broodmare sire Lord Calando is the sire of many international showjumpers, including popular sires Lordship and Lacantus and the great jumper Lux Z. Lux Z competed at the Syndey Olympics and earned over one million euro in his incredible career. Lux Z is out of an Ahorn Z daughter (Alme Z/Ganeff). Lord Calando himself is out of the same dam as world-class showjumper Cathargo Z.
